Plot:
Dakshayagnam is a story of Daksha (SV Ranga Rao) who is an ardent devotee of Lord Brahma. Sati (Devika), daughter of Daksha falls in love with Lord Shiva (NT Ramarao) and marries him without her father's approval. This annoys Daksha and plans to insult Lord Shiva by inviting all the gods except Lord Shiva for the Yagna. Sati, who attends the yagna against the approval of Lord Shiva gets insulted by her father. Unable to bear this, Sati kills herself by plunging into the fire.
Lord Shiva out of rage performs 'rudratandavam' and cuts off Daksha's head. Rest of the story leads to an interesting climax.
