Bharata Natyam is a form of Indian classical dance that originated in Tamil Nadu. Originally performed in the temples, it was popularized to spread to every home. Currently Bharata Natyam is popular classical dance that is performed all over the world. Bharata Natyam involves using the entire body for graceful movements emphasizing on neck,eyes, head and foot movements.
About Chilakapati Nikita Choudary
Chilakapati Nikita Choudary, daughter of K Durga Bhavani and Chilakapati Raja Shekar, aged 14yrs is a class IX student of Delhi Public School, Hyderabad. She has started her training at the age of 7 yrs after an initial training for a short period with late Guru Smt. Gidugu Visalakshi and later was fortunate to join Bharatha Natyam, under the tutelage of Smt. Chitra Narayanan. She has learnt Bharathanatyam at its best. Kumari Nikita has done her Arangetram in 2014 in Ravindra Bharathi in the presence of Shri Bhandaru Dattatreya. Her proficiency stands a testimony to her devotion , dedication, interest, involvement and hard work.
